Behind the scenes: Fall Wedding in Balboa Park

Seasons aren’t really felt here in Sunny San Diego. We can’t complain we live in near perfection, right?!?

Well I do. I like distinction between the seasons and no one was more ready to say Adios to summer than me. Unfortunately October kicked off hot and maintained it’s warmth for our big wedding on the 18th.

This was a year in the making. We actually did the venue walk through of The Prado in Balboa Park exactly a year from the wedding to get the feel of what the weather and lighting “should be.”

We also made a couple trips to the flower market so that colors and blooms of that particular time were seen and validated they would be available. So much work goes into wedding florals. Don’t be fooled. It’s an undertaking but for good reason. The floral design literally makes or breaks the overall feel of any wedding.

Don’t believe me? Just see for yourself. Here are some early shots or pre-work snapped a year ago and then shots leading up to the big day and a few peeks of our design.
